Michel Tyszblat est un artiste français de la Nouvelle Figuration. Après un bref passage dans les ateliers d'André Lhote et Robert Lapoujade, il construit un univers porté par une gamme chromatique très personnelle, fait d’allers et retours entre figuration et abstraction. Dès 1960, il expose aux côtés de Rancillac, Monory, Voss, Klasen, mais préfère évoluer en solitaire tout en gardant des liens forts avec ceux qui allaient former le groupe de la figuration narrative. Chaque toile est une relecture constante des objets qui peuplent notre quotidien : jouets, moteurs, télévisions, écrous puis palmiers, vélo, jambe, saxophone ou oiseau… Son œuvre, très précise formellement à ses débuts, laissera peu à peu la place à une grande gestualité, dans une quête constante d’un équilibre malicieux.

After a brief transition in the workshops of André Lhote and Robert Lapoujade, he built a universe carried by a very personal chromatic range, going back and forth between figuration and abstraction. In 1960, he exhibited alongside Rancillac, Monory, Voss, Klasen, but preferred to play solo while maintaining strong ties with those who would form the group of narrative figuration. Each canvas is a constant rereading of the objects that inhabit our daily lives: toys, motors, televisions, nuts and palm trees, bicycles, legs, saxophones or birds… His work, very precise formally at its beginning, will gradually give way to a great gestuality, in a constant quest for a malicious balance.
