The Broad présentera à Los Angeles la première exposition muséale d’envergure consacrée à Keith Haring, réunissant plus de 120 œuvres et documents d’archives. Organisée par Sarah Loyer, l’exposition retrace son parcours artistique et personnel, de la fin des années 1970 à 1988, à travers de nombreux médiums (peinture, dessin, sculpture, vidéo, œuvres graphiques) et ses célèbres projets publics. Elle met également en lumière l’engagement politique et social de l’artiste, notamment autour du désarmement nucléaire, de l’anti-apartheid et de la lutte contre le VIH/sida. Des œuvres majeures de la collection du Broad, ainsi que des prêts de la Keith Haring Foundation, seront présentés, accompagnés de dispositifs immersifs. Les billets seront disponibles au printemps 2023.

The Broad will present the first major museum exhibition in Los Angeles dedicated to Keith Haring, featuring over 120 artworks and archival materials. Curated by Sarah Loyer, the exhibition explores both his artistic practice and personal life, spanning from the late 1970s to 1988, and encompassing a wide range of media including painting, drawing, sculpture, video, and public works. The exhibition also highlights Haring’s political and social engagement, particularly his activism around nuclear disarmament, anti-Apartheid movements, and the HIV/AIDS crisis. Major works from The Broad’s collection, along with key loans from the Keith Haring Foundation, will be shown alongside immersive installations. Tickets will be available in spring 2023.
