La Fondazione Marconi et Gió Marconi présentent l’exposition Valerio Adami. Laboratorio, en hommage à l’artiste, à l’occasion des 60 ans de sa première exposition chez Studio Marconi et de ses 90 ans. Cette rétrospective explore une décennie décisive de son œuvre (1962-1972) en lien avec les voyages et lieux qui ont nourri sa création : Londres, Arona, Paris, New York et Milan. Le parcours revient sur ses rencontres influentes (Jim Dine, Richard Hamilton, Jacques Derrida…), son intérêt pour le langage visuel, les sons, les voitures, et ses expérimentations filmiques. Le film Vacanze nel deserto (1971) sera projeté. L’exposition présente également des œuvres issues de ses photographies new-yorkaises, avec dessins, archives, toiles et installations. Elle se conclut à Milan, avec ses collaborations fondatrices avec Giorgio Marconi et des projets mêlant performance, photographie et peinture, dont l’installation mémorable Boxing Ring (1969). L’exposition rend hommage à l’audace narrative et plastique d’Adami.
